After last winter performance of Mehr group, supervised by Naser Eizadi, in Jamejam, the group has started its rehearsals with 22 members, to be prepared for its next performance and CD recording and publishing.
Because of new structure of the music pieces, the method of orchestration, and also coloration, necessitation of utilizing of new instruments was deeply felt; fortunately, just like the previous times, music fonder, patient, and responsible individuals joined the group.
Next performance of the group is composed of two parts which is performed by Iranian and classic instruments. In one part the orchestra will play pieces in melody of dashti and music division of Shoor ; the songs contain Mollanah, Nima and M. Azad poems. In the other part the orchestra will perform pieces in melody of Bayat-e-Isfehan and music division of Homayoun ; the songs are based on poems of Rahi, Shafi-ee Kadkani and Saber Emami.
All pieces of music are composed by Naser Izadi.
A short report from Mehr group concert - 1388 Mordad 25,26
Finally, after 20 months of continuous effort and practice, Mehr Orchestra with 25 members and Nasser Izadi as the composer and supervisor had a performance on August 16th and 17th in Vahdat Hall, Tehran.
Singer for this concert was Ali Saeidi accompanied with three girls.
The first part of the program consisted of Naghme Bayat Isfahan and Homayun, and Shur and Dashti were performed in the second part. This program was very much welcomed by audience both nights as the Vahdat Hall was full of enthusiastic Iranian music lovers. The nice performance of the group deeply affected the audience that the excessive applause after each piece of music caused delay in starting the next song. At the end of a program, when the group members were leaving the scene, they were faced with continuous clapping; in the response to the applause they performed the song “Begoo be Baran” again.
The beautiful performance of the orchestra and also solos which in some parts were accompanied with the singers showed how sympathetic and unified are the members of the group.
One of the interesting parts of this program was the harmonious performance of three classic instruments, flute, cello and piano, playing Iranian melody.
Another interesting point of the concert was the proper use of drum instruments such as Tombak, Dohol and Kuzeh which really attracted the audience.
* When programs started, group members bowed to audience in response to applause, and began to tune their instruments, and then Nasser Izadi –the supervisor- entered the stage to accompany the orchestra.
* Out of the concert Hall a poster in dimensions of 4 × 3 meters attracted attention. It should be noted that the poster and the group’s logo were beautifully and skillfully designed by dear artist Mr. Faramarz Arabnia.
